Attorney General William Barr split with Pres. Trump’s assessment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and former AG Jeff Sessions.
Barr thinks that Mueller should be able to finish his investigation without delay. Pres. Trump has been at odds with Mueller and his “witch hunt,” over alleged collusion between him and Russia.
Here’s my question. What’s the definition of “finish?” Mueller should be encouraged to finish as in “wrap it up,” he’s had plenty of time. He isn’t going to discover anything new so just write the report and “finish.”
It seems Barr’s and Mueller’s definition of “finish” depends on Trump leaving office. He will keep obstructing Trump’s government and assisting the Democrats and media in harming the administration until then and he will not “finish” (as in “stop”) as long as Trump is in office even though he’s not doing anything concerning the investigation.
“…I have known Bob Mueller personally and professionally for 30 years, and I have the utmost respect for him and the important work he is doing.”

Barr shocked Trump supporters with his answers that analyzed his friend Mueller during questioning from Sen. Lindsey Graham, head of the Senate Judiciary committee.
Barr was asked about special counsel Robert Mueller. The attorney general nominee’s views differ quite a bit from those of his boss.
Saying he is “good friends” with Mueller, Barr answered affirmatively when asked if he believes Mueller is fair-minded, and will be fair to the president.
“I don’t believe Mr. Mueller would be involved in a witch hunt,” Barr said.
The nominee went on to say that Jeff Sessions, the man who previously held the post for which Barr is being considered, acted properly with regard to the Mueller probe into Trump’s campaign by stepping away.
“I’m not sure of all the facts,” Barr said. “But I think he probably did the right thing recusing himself.”
I have a question. Why would Barr want this job? He’s already been AG before he’s making $1 million a year in the private sector, so what’s the agenda?
The line of questioning by Democrats with Barr seems to be more about if he will or won’t shut down Mueller, go after James Comey, Hillary Clinton and others. It’s like they are trying to reassure themselves that he won’t go after them more than wanting to ensure he’ll follow the rule of law. It’s a sideshow.
Barr’s answers already seem to be evasive about just what he’ll do as AG and praising Mueller seems to put him right in the basket with others who do not want to see the Democratic circus and its persecution of Trump end and getting exposed for covering for the liars and crooks like Comey, Loretta Lynch, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, William Ohr, and Clinton who by all rights should be in jail being protected by the Democratic establishment.
We need an AG who isn’t afraid to go after them. Indications thus far show Barr isn’t it.
