As some of the Trump followers praised Kanye West as the next Moses of the movement, other logical, common sense thinkers weren’t fooled a few weeks ago.
The Pied Piper of Rap paid over $85,000 to obtain a photo of icon Whitney Houston’s bathroom suicide scene that included a lot of drugs to be used as cover art for one of his friends. Members of the Houston family are not happy about it, and they are speaking out.
According to the friend rap artist, Pusha T, West obtained the picture at the last minute to replace the original album cover art. As we all know, Kanye is very used to making bombastic entrances and statements to become relevant for that time, but he might have gone too far.
Houston is still valued within the urban communities, and there’s no doubt many will take a look at the bathroom scene album cover stunt for what it is — a stunt to sell music.

Speaking to People, Houston’s cousin, Damon Elliott, called the move “disgusting.”
“To do something for a publicity stunt to sell records, it’s absolutely disgusting,” Elliott said. “It hurt my family and my daughter. It’s petty. It’s tacky.”
Elliott said that he only learned of the album artwork when his daughter called him in a “frantic” state.
“She sent me this picture from the album cover and I immediately got sick to my stomach because it took me right back to six years ago,” he continued.
Seeming to reference West’s recent outbursts, Elliott added, “I’ve watched the train wreck happening, but I didn’t think he’d go this far in invading someone’s family privacy.”
According to People, the photo was first published in 2006 by the National Enquirer.
“I just want him to tell me why he did it,” Elliott continued. “What is the creative side of this? What’s the point? It shows no creativity.”
Pusha T, the rapper for which the album cover was purchased for said that West informed him:“This is what people need to see to go along with this music.”
Some Trump followers were so enamored by Kanye wearing Trump’s hat they didn’t look to see what was underneath. If they think he’s going to deliver black voters after he claimed slavery was a choice and then tried to clean it up as if he was talking about the mental aspect of it and then shock many Houston fans by showing the ugly side of her death to promote a record, I give up.
It’s sad when you have to take possibly one of the darkest moments of someone’s struggles and use it in your sick attempt to get attention or make money off it. I’m sure if it were of someone in his family he wouldn’t like it.
Remember, his mom died on the plastic surgery operating table, what if someone did that to him? He could have faked a drug-filled bathroom, why pay all that money for a tragic photo? Whitney went through so much, let the woman and her memory rest in peace.
