CNN’s Jim Acosta used his company’s platform to whine and cry about Pres. Donald Trump making fun and calling out the opposition media.
Acosta, who has publicly told individuals that in fact he does grandstand at the White House sometimes used co-worker Brian Stelter’s Sunday show to slam Pres. Trump for using “enemy of the people” as a battle cry to threaten so-called journalists and news reporters who have been targeting the White House on a regular basis.
Acosta also says that he’s received numerous death threats because of what Pres. Trump has said. Does anyone believe that? So, somehow, this troublemaker doesn’t look back over his own words and actions and believe that causes individuals to rage with anger? A report was released a few months ago that saw the opposition media reported negative news on Trump at least 93% of the time.
Doesn’t anyone think that would cause a response? Did the media ever think their harsh words and constant criticism would put the president and his family in danger, especially with 24/7 negativity?
Acosta said: “I have grown up in a country in the last several decades here where Republicans, Democrats wanted to be in power in Washington, but they didn’t demonize us to this extent. And I think it’s gotten — I think it started off as an act based on my reporting that the president threw out fake news enemy of the people to taunt and troll us. That’s gotten out of control. It’s gotten to the point where his supporters, some of his supporters feel it’s okay to lash out at us in ways that I think puts us in danger. I think we have to pause, hit the pause button, and think deeply about whether or not this is the kind of country we want to hand down to our kids.”
“I don’t want it to become more dangerous. We had a pipe bomb delivered to CNN last fall. I received a number of death threats. A number of news anchors reporters who cover this president on a daily basis receive death threats. And, you know, we don’t know how serious they are. It could just be people venting their frustrations. I get that. We all get mad about what we see on the news on a daily basis.
The question is whether or not somebody crosses that line and does something that hurts somebody or perhaps kills a journalist. And as I write in the book, Brian, I think at that point we cross over into a different era for the United States. Where we join a list ever other countries around the world where the press is not safe to do their jobs, and we just can’t do that. We cannot take that step because I think it’s a far slippery slope than we possibly can imagine.”
CNN calls for violence every day against Trump and his supporters with their hate-filled rhetoric and lies about us. They constantly go out of their way to twist and turn every news item into something that will stir up the Leftists and encourage them to express their outrage with physical assaults.
First off, if history has taught us anything, it’s that those who complain the loudest about “death threats” are almost always the least likely to get hurt and that especially pertains to well-known drama-queen “news” personalities.
Tell you what, Jim, as an exercise in investigative journalism – something that you and your fake-news network claim to excel at – try putting on a hat that says “Make America Great Again” – a harmless enough slogan – and then go out incognito on a Saturday night in the downtown northeastern metropolitan city of your choice and then if it turns out that you happen to get physically and verbally assaulted – which you most assuredly will – ask yourself the following question.
Who exactly is it who’s been demonizing who for the last two-plus years?
Fake News is truly the enemy of the people. If more Americans simply had the facts, common sense would reign supreme and a number of vexing problems would auto-correct in a snap. But no.
