Born and raised in southern West Virginia, Rick has what it takes to fight for middle class families, repeal Obamacare, and stop the War on Coal.
Succeeding in business became their focus and Rick worked long and hard as a laborer, carpenter,
electrician, and all the other rungs of the ladder until he had worked his way up to become Vice-President of the company. “I started at the bottom and learned every phase of the business on the way as I worked harder and gained more responsibility.”
Rick has given of himself in service as a volunteer at the YMCA and helped veterans at the Beckley VA Hospital and Nursing Home. He mentors young men through the steps of starting their own businesses and is the Construction Manager and on the Board of Directors for New River Habitat for Humanity. He is also an ordained minister and has served in almost every capacity of the local church and has ministered to those of many different denominations.
Rick was elected to serve the people of West Virginia as a legislator in 2010 and has worked with his colleagues on both ‘sides of the aisle’ to helping middle class families and promote economic growth.
