On Monday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement report ICE agents arrested 153 illegal aliens in a 12-day operation last month.
It took place from March 20 to March 31 with 140 of them coming from Mexico. Other nationalities of the illegals included Honduras, Guatemala, Canada, and El Salvador.
Unsurprisingly, most of those arrested had criminal convictions which included some of the most heinous crimes.
ICE reports more details found in their press release.
All the foreign nationals targeted by ICE officers during this enforcement action had prior criminal convictions. The vast majority of those arrested (137 of the 153) had criminal histories that included convictions for the following crimes: aggravated assault with a weapon, aggravate sexual assault of a child, driving under the influence (DUI), sexual assault, burglary, robbery, resisting officer, vehicular manslaughter, alien smuggling, domestic violence, cocaine possession, prostitution, fraud, simple assault, cocaine possession, dangerous drugs and controlled substance distribution.
These operations take place on a regular basis. In a previous one from February to early March, they arrested 248 illegal aliens in three different states.
Although ICE agents are performing their duties, opponents are trying to put them at a disadvantage. Last Friday, Fox News Tech reported a new mobile app coming out April 10 that alerts illegal aliens of future ICE raids taking place.
There are consequences for breaking our laws. We need to continue these operations to take dangerous criminals off the streets and make communities safer.
