Washington State Mirrors New Jersey’s Attempt To Remove Trump from 2020 Ballot

A few weeks ago, New Jersey started the process to keep presidential candidates off their election ballots if they do not present their tax returns. Now the liberal state of Washington is doing the same thing.

Washington State Senators passed the legislation 28-21 this past week, and the state House has a 57-41 majority, so expect this bill to be passed as well when it is presented before them.

Please cite the section and paragraph of the U.S. Constitution that requires a Presidential candidate to release his/her tax returns. Let me help you; there is no Constitutional requirement for Presidential candidates to show tax returns because there were no taxes when America was founded. If it had stayed that way, we wouldn’t have a Jabba the Hut sized Federal government sitting on our chests today.

A proposal inspired by President Donald Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns advanced Tuesday in Washington state. A bill in the state Legislature would require candidates to release five years of returns before they could appear on either the primary or general election ballot in the state.

Senators approved the bill on a 28-21 vote Tuesday, sending it to the House.

“Although releasing tax returns has been the norm for about the last 40 years in presidential elections, unfortunately we’ve seen that norm broken,” said bill sponsor Sen. Patty Kuderer, a Bellevue Democrat, during debate Tuesday. Kuderer later confirmed she was referring to Trump.

How a candidate has handled their own financial affairs and personal investments are relevant details for voters choosing a commander-in-chief, Kuderer added. [excerpt via CBS News]

The damage the left is doing to the country, and our form of government with their refusal to accept election results is incalculable. It’s been a hallmark of our country that even bitter rivals abide by election results and hand over power peacefully. The left is changing that tradition.

This insanity started when Hillary Clinton refused to come out on the evening of her defeat and give what normal losers give, a concession speech that starts to unify the country. She claimed he would not accept a loss and it turns out she wouldn’t accept her loss and still doesn’t. She should have had a clue by the size (or lack of size) of her rally crowds (or lack of crowds). Also, if liberals wouldn’t have ruined voters property and become violent when they dared to display Trump yard signs and bumper stickers they might not have been as shocked by his win.

It boggles the mind when you remember how big of a deal they made of Trump’s refusal to say he would accept the results without question. Remember how that statement was painted as the greatest threat to democracy?

Of course, that was when they thought Hillary would win.

HELP US REACH OUR FIRST QUARTER GOAL

Here’s a scenario. If Washington and New Jersey stick to this, their state electoral votes would not be counted in the electoral college count. Missing two Lefty states in the count would assure a Trump win by a landslide. Let’s hope California and New York do the same thing.
