Warren Uses Twitter Rant To Expand On Race Stigma That Plagues Fox News

“Fox News is racist and it doesn’t speak to minorities, even though it has black voices sprinkled throughout the network, they say and repeat talking points that do not reach an intended audience.”

This is what is heard within minority communities whether you want to believe it or not. Most Republicans/conservatives scoff at this or tend to discount this type of thinking because (A) it doesn’t affect them the same way; (B) they feel it’s just an excuse to paint the network they watch in a bad light; (C) See A & B.

2020 Democratic presidential candidate, Sen. Elizabeth Warren used that stigma against the network when she refused to appear on a town hall, sponsored and moderated by Fox News.

I won’t do a town hall with Fox News because I won’t invite millions of Democratic primary voters to tune in, inflate ratings, and help sell ads for an outlet that profits from racism and hate. If you agree, sign our petition.

Senators Bernie Sanders and Amy Klobuchar have already had town halls on Fox News and while Sanders numbers didn’t shock me but Klobuchar did. I was shocked to see her numbers so high. Fox News claims it’s the number one cable network out there today when most of the shows that dominate the ratings are in the evening.

First, Warren took to her Instagram to call out Fox News and also increase her mailing list by starting a petition.

Second, here is the twitter thread where Warren spoke at length about her decision to shun Fox News:

One journalist who offered a mild criticism was Yashar Ali of New York magazine, who pointed out — after prompting by “a rival campaign” to Warren’s — that she had appeared on Fox News last year:

I won’t go as far as Warren did but I stopped watching Fox News when they were reporting the missing of a young white teen female that lasted for over three and a half weeks, who was later found dead.

During the same three week stretch, a black teen, same age went missing a couple of days after the young white teen and Fox News didn’t give the story any push. There was a young black man who saved patrons from a massacre at an IHOP over a year ago and that didn’t get much play on Fox News but it was championed on other networks. I have been watching so many stories and that network’s reaction and it’s not clear to me whether they do not care or if the producers have an agenda.

Again, I won’t call Fox News “racist,” but I have my reservations about watching or sharing the shows which cause me to look for alternatives.
