Every time Sen. Elizabeth Warren joins a controversy, the irony is so thick. By the way, I don’t believe Attorney General William Barr has ever lied about his heritage to advance his career so you aren’t in a position to say you don’t trust him when you aren’t trustworthy yourself.
Warren claims she won’t trust Barr’s summation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report until she views Mueller’s report.
And Warren’s ‘judgment’ is good? This is the woman who used alleged Native American heritage to her advantage. She also wants to “look into” reparations 160 years AFTER slavery and wants universal child care. Neither of these positions shows good judgment.
What Warren and the Democrats do not understand is that Barr is not responsible nor did he write or edit, or was he involved in any of the investigations of the Mueller report, period. All he is responsible for is releasing what can be released within the confines of the laws.
When Colbert asked if she trusts Barr’s judgment on the matter, Warren replied, “No. No, and you shouldn’t have to ask me if I trust it. We should see the whole report. When we see the whole report, we’ll know what the basis is for the decision. Period.”
Warren isn’t the only one calling for the Mueller report to be made public. The entire House of Representatives voted to make it public, and several of her fellow 2020 candidates have made statements that share her sentiment on the report.
But nobody knows yet if the report will ever see the light of day.
“What do you think the odds are that we’re gonna get to see it?” Colbert asked. “I don’t know,” Warren replied, “but if we don’t see it, then millions of people around this country are gonna keep asking, ‘What’s in it that nobody wants us to see?’” [excerpt via Yahoo TV]
Warren won’t trust AG Barr’s judgment on Mueller report until she sees it. I used the Cherokee to English translator, and this equates to, I want it to say something else, so I do not like it.
The report can’t just be released overnight. Names have to be redacted if innocent people, certain foreign agents and advisers names must be taken out too. It takes time but then again Democrats don’t mind breaking the law or leaking things.
Warren isn’t the only 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate calling for the full report:
The Mueller report needs to be made public, the underlying investigative materials should be handed over to Congress, and Barr must testify. That is what transparency looks like. A short letter from Trump's hand-picked Attorney General is not sufficient.

The American public deserves the full report and findings from the Mueller investigation immediately—not just the in-house summary from a Trump Administration official. https://t.co/8Lj0O881Cw

Dems are all hanging their hat on Trump firing James Comey, which was completely justified given Comey’s actions. I would think liberals would agree on that.
I believe Mueller also thinks Trump did not obstruct, but given that Comey is his friend, Mueller just could not bring himself to ‘exonerate’ Trump, even though he could not come up with evidence to show the obstruction. The Dems are so desperate right now.
