Saddened Van Jones Thought “Infestation Of Hatred And Division” Would Bring Out The Voters

CNN’s Van Jones thought Democrats would win big on Tuesday night and even though the House is in reach, it’s not big enough.

Did he call conservatives an infestation? Is this any way to bring united peace to a nation divided?

There was never going to be a blue wave. The only question is whether the Republicans are going to keep the seat they need to maintain their hold in the House.

Jones’ comments come on the heels of both major races in Florida seems to have lost Democrats as the US Seat held by Sen. Bob Nelson lost to Former Florida Governor Rick Scott, and upstart Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum lost his chance to become the Governor, losing to retiring Representative Ron DeSantis.

Appearing on a CNN panel, the Van Jones Show host and progressive commentator expressed his strong disappointment with the early results.

“This is not over. People need to stay out there and continue the fight,” Jones said. “This is heartbreaking, though. It’s heartbreaking.”

Jones added, “The hope has been that the anti-bodies would kick in. That this sort of infestation of hatred and division would draw a response from the American people — really in both parties — to say ‘no,’ and ‘no more.’ That does not seem to be happening tonight.

“It’s not a blue wave, but it’s still a blue war. We’ve got to continue the fight forward. But I think that sense of helplessness, that has really fueled a lot of this outrage and outpouring from Democrats may still be there tomorrow even if we have the House.”
