Trump: Would “Love To See” Colin Kaepernick Back In The NFL; But Only If He’s Good Enough

On Friday, before Pres. Trump went on vacation, he spoke to the media on various issues when the topic of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick came up.

Kaepernick claims that he has been out of work for three years and he is been training five days a week for when he returns to the National Football League. most owners and coaches feel that the quarterback is not good enough to be a starter in the league, but reality has not set in for the part-time activist.

Trump said that he “love to see” the former quarterback back in the league, “but only if he is good enough.”

I do not ever remember, and I could be wrong, Pres. Trump verbally assaulting Kaepernick.  Pres. Trump is not on board with sports figures that take a knee during the playing of the national anthem, which is his prerogative, and many Americans across the country agree with that sentiment.

Kaepernick started kneeling when the national anthem was being played as a backup quarterback with the San Francisco 49ers. he had just been benched for another player and that was his reaction to the move.

Trump: “I think if he was good enough, I know the owners, I know Bob Kraft, I know so many of the owners. If he’s good enough they’d sign him. So if he’s good enough, I know these people. They would sign him in a heartbeat. They will do anything they can to win games,”

he added; “Frankly, I’d love to see Kaepernick come in if he’s good enough. But I don’t want to see him come in because somebody thinks of it’s a good PR move. If he’s good enough, he will be in”

With Pres. Trump taking this path, it is going to be fun to watch the Trump supporters who have attacked Kaepernick over the past three years, respond to this statement.
