President Trump cut out the middle man today when he negotiated a deal with Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Nancy Pelosi on a short term debt limit increase to get funds to Harvey victims asap.
Trump’s deal with Congressional Democrats is an amazing bit of bipartisan accomplishment. Plus it makes Rep. Paul Ryan and the Republicans look like idiots because they just rejected that yesterday Combined with his DACA decision to force Congress to act he’s really had a good week and is putting a lot of pressure on Congress to start working with him or they lose.
Republicans on the hill were stunned and shocked that it went down like this. Maybe they didn’t watch Sunday’s news show when Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin reported that Trump wanted the Harvey funds tied in with the debt ceiling increase.

This no doubt will anger Republicans as President Trump beat them to the Democrats table to make a deal. Now, it’s in the hands of the Republicans who will probably block it and look ridiculous. Trump is doing this to show the GOP politicians he isn’t to be toyed with when it comes to dealing with issues that affect the American people.

Mr. Trump’s deal undercut GOP leaders on Capitol Hill. Just hours earlier, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan had called the offer of a short-term debt limit increase “disgraceful” and accused Democrats of playing politics with Harvey funding.
But Democrats, who got exactly what they were seeking, said it showed Mr. Trump was willing to cut deals to advance their priorities.
“Today was a good day in a generally very partisan town,” Mr. Schumer said.
Senators also said there will be additional money adding into the stopgap spending bill to help FEMA prepare and assist in Hurricane Irma, which is racing toward Florida
Republicans on Capitol Hill had been seeking a longer debt deal that would prevent another crisis in December, but Mr. Trump took the offer on the table from Democrats instead — drawing fire from his own party’s troops
At the meeting, Mr. Trump brushed aside objections to the Democratic deal from every Republican in the room, including Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin, according to a source familiar with the meeting.
“It seemed pretty spontaneous,” said the source, adding that Mr. Trump appeared frustrated with the standoff between Republican and Democratic lawmakers and moved to break the deadlock.
How many of you remember there was never a budget passed under Barack Obama and Democrat majority. There was never immigration reform passed when Democrats had control of all three branches of government. Trump proposes a budget and becomes an instant target. Congress ignored its duty regarding immigration reform even when illegal immigration reached crisis proportions. It blames everything on the President. Approval ratings for Congress are at historic lows. All the lame stream media does is propaganda for the lefties.

Congress is broke unless they join together to fight Donald Trump. Today, the President took a huge leap in fixing his Republican problem. If they don’t want to join his fight to make America great again, he can go around them and work with the Democrats which will really make their job getting elected much harder.
