Trump Administration

DID YOU KNOW? Trump Signed ‘Legion Act’ Giving 6 Million Ineligible Veterans Access To Benefits

Pres. Trump scores political wins almost daily, and I am sure it’s on a weekly basis. These wins are for the American people and most importantly, those who serve in our military.

The problem most Americans face is they aren’t receiving the full truth about what’s going on for their benefit because the mainstream media refuses to cover most of them.

I know the Radical Four are eating up the airwaves with their anti-Semitic rhetoric and hate agenda against Pres. Trump while the media has its hands busy promoting 2020 Democratic candidates Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, or Elizabeth Warren. I guess real news is too much for them these days.

Pres. Trump has always had a special place in his heart for our U.S. troops, especially our veterans, you know the ones, those men and women who risked it all to keep us free. During his time in office, Pres. Trump has already scored major wins for veterans with landmark legislation including the one for the Veteran’s Administration.

This new piece of legislation that he signed at the end of July will help six million Americans in need.

The LEGION Act (Let Everyone Get Involved In Opportunities for National Service Act) also opens the door for approximately 6 million veterans to access American Legion programs and benefits for which they previously had not been eligible.

“Recognizing the service of these wartime veterans is the right thing do and it is long overdue,” National Commander Brett Reistad said. “The families of those who were killed or wounded during these wartime acts should take pride in knowing that we recognize their sacrifice and service. Moreover, we are proud to welcome any of the six million living veterans from the previously unrecognized periods into our organization and call them ‘Legionnaires.’”

Now that the legislation has been signed, The American Legion’s eligibility criteria immediately changes from seven war eras to two: April 6, 1917, to Nov. 11, 1918, and Dec. 7, 1941 to a time later determined by the federal government. No other restrictions to American Legion membership are changed. [Legion.org]

If you don’t know anything about the American Legion, they actively help military personnel and veterans find rewarding jobs and business opportunities in civilian life. Each year, American Legion department service officers help thousands of veterans receive VA benefits they earned through service to their country. The Legion conducts, promotes and supports hundreds of career fairs for veterans and transitioning service members, bringing employers to face to face with job hunters.

We as a nation should take care of our veterans they paid the price to help keep us safe.

We are truly the best at caring for our people. What a disgrace to veterans like me who have to listen to nonsense news and simply listen to Democrats or others who refuse to work for us. I would challenge anyone to find a president who has fought harder for our veterans in the last 50 years than this man.
