Pres. Trump responded to a question from the media concerning Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gossiping about him behind his back, and only our Commander-in-chief could respond like this and have the force of truth behind it like this.
President Trump slammed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday as “two faced” after video surfaced of some of the world’s top leaders at the NATO summit in London appearing to laugh at his expense.
Asked about the video during a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Trump said of Trudeau, “he’s two faced.”
In a video shared by the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC), Trudeau, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and French President Emmanuel Macron are seen with others, including Princess Anne, having a conversation at a reception at the Buckingham Palace about a press conference earlier in the day.
Trump had made an impromptu conference and weighed in on the ongoing impeachment inquiry as well as the fiery exchange he had with Macron over France not taking back any ISIS fighters. [Fox News]
Nobody would dare laugh openly at Barack Obama for fear of the racist backlash. Rest assured, he was the bigger joke. France’s President Emmanuel Macron wasn’t laughing when Trump started talking about tariffs.
“Can’t get over this video… for the fact that he long used ‘other countries are laughing at us’ as an attack against his predecessors.” — New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman …
Uh, Maggie, under previous administrations, foreign leaders WERE laughing at us… “us” being the entire United States of America. Our leadership was weak. Submissive. Ineffective.
Other nations had their run at us, and over us, and our presidents just whimpered. World leaders at the G7 didn’t see Obama as a leader; they saw him as the comfort puppy whose only purpose was to lend them support.
Now, we have a real leader. He can be bombastic. He can do unexpected things. And yes, this brings laughter. But even if they are laughing at Trump, they are no longer laughing at the United States. And you know what? If other “leaders” at the NATO summit want to get behind Trump’s back and laugh at him, that’s OK with me.
They are showing the world that they are nothing more than little schoolboys and schoolgirls gathering on the playground and laughing about the teacher.
