During a rally in Florida on Wednesday night, President Trump made light of the decline of 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s
“I went to Texas and made a speech. And Beto, Beto, boy has fallen like a rock,” Trump said at the rally in Panama City Beach, Florida. “What the hell happened to Beto?”
A recent Morning Consult poll listed O’Rourke at five percent nationwide, which was down from eight percent in March. Trump had said in March he dreamt of facing off against O’Rourke in 2020 for the election.
“I’d I love to have Biden, I would love to have Bernie, I would love to have Beto. Beto seems to be the one the press has chosen, the press seems to have have chosen Beto. And when I watch Beto, I say, ‘We could dream about that,'” Trump said in a Fox Business Network March interview.
