Election 2020

Trump Jokes About O’Rourke’s Hand Movements — “I’ve Actually Never Seen Anything Quite Like It”

On Thursday morning, Beto O’Rourke joined the 2020 Presidential Race seeking the Democratic nomination.

He and his wife dropped a video detailing why he decided to enter. President Trump was asked about O’Rourke’s entry into the race, and he joked about the Texan’s hand movement when he speaks.

“He has a lot of hand movement. Is he crazy or is that just the way he acts?” Trump asked. “I’ve never seen hand movement, I watched him a little while this morning, doing, I assume some kind of a news conference. I’ve actually never seen anything quite like it.”

Trump said he would take on whoever the Democratic nominee turns out to be when asked if he was concerned about any of the current 2020 challengers.

To be honest, I caught myself looking at Beto’s hands while he was talking instead of listening to him speak. I thought that was weird, but I chalked it up to inexperience. Most politicians do not point, and they talk with closed fists.

The media will no doubt dig up old footage of President Trump’s hand gestures and claim he was making fun of a disabled reporter, which has been debunked.
