Here is a new TV Ad to begin airing today in Missouri of Rep. Todd Akin asking for “forgiveness” in the wake of his shocking remarks over the weekend about “legitimate rape.” Pressure has come from all sides on Akin within the GOP to withdraw as the Republican U.S. Senate Nominee by 5 PM today, so the Republican State Central Committee can name a replacement candidate. If Akin does not, most outside groups have already told Akin they will not help his candidacy. Akin is the GOP Nominee to oppose Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill.
Kudos to @ToddAkin for his statement on his remark. Still waiting on Obama apology for calling Romney a murderer.

Todd Akin must be feeling pretty deceived right now. He didn't say anything different from #GOP & they're treating him like the plague.

GOP: "It's up to Todd Akin to decide whether to withdraw from the Missouri Senate race, because we've got plenty more where he came from."
