Three More Arrested, Charged In Vandalism Of Durham Statue Tear Down

Just a couple of days ago, the youth decided to tear down a Confederate statue because they had watched what happened in Charlottesville, VA and thought it was the right thing to do.

They didn’t know a plainclothes police was in the crowd and when the event dispersed, the police arrested the main agitator and now they have arrested three more.

Democrats think they can get away this and there not be consequences. I am glad they were arrested and charged. I really don’t care that much about the statue but vandalism should always be met with repercussions.

Three more protesters have been arrested in connection with the toppling of a Confederate statue.

The Durham County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release Wednesday afternoon that it had arrested Peter Gull Gilbert, Dante Strobino and Ngoc Loan Tran in connection to the incident.

Each faces two felony charges related to inciting and participating in a riot, along with two misdemeanors.

The statue in Durham came down Monday night after Thompson attached the rope and demonstrators on the ground then pulled the bronze Confederate soldier from its pedestal. The toppling followed deadly violence over the weekend during a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

A group that organized the protest didn’t immediately respond to messages Wednesday seeking comment on the arrests.
