Republican Says She Will Not Vote For Justice Who Could Overturn Roe vs Wade

Sen. Susan Collins went into the halls of Congress as a proud Republican and has morphed into an abortion-loving Democrat.

I don’t understand why she doesn’t just switch parties? She doesn’t have a conservative bone in her body.

You know when you are a 65-year-old bi-partisan politician there is no need to worry about dying your hair brown every week. You need to worry about that 12 percent conservative review score that you have accumulated by agreeing with the Democrats on nearly every issue.

Collins, who fully supports abortion, said any justice who supports reversing Roe v. Wade is an “activist” justice who does not belong on the high court.

“A candidate for this important position who would overturn Roe v. Wade would not be acceptable to me because that would indicate an activist agenda that I don’t want to see a judge have,” she said.

Collins, a moderate Republican, claimed Roe v. Wade is “settled law” and emphasized her desire for the new Supreme Court justice to adhere to stare decisis, a legal doctrine that binds courts to precedent.

“I’m going to have an in-depth conversation with the nominee and I believe very much that Roe v. Wade is settled law as it has been described by Chief Justice [John] Roberts,” Collins said. “It has been described as a constitutional right for 45 years and was reaffirmed 26 years ago.”

I think it more likely Trump’s advisors would advise him to leave Sen. Mike Lee in the Senate where he is a reliable vote for conservative issues. With Mitt Romney, the old squish, probably going to be the second Senator from Utah, it is essential to have at least one actual constitutional conservative. But I confess, I think Mike Lee would make an excellent Justice.

Collins should be concerned about a candidate that supports the Constitution. Instead, she’s concerned about a woman’s “right” to commit infanticide. Even pretending this old bag is a Republican is a joke.

Do you think Sen. Collin should change political parties because of her beliefs? Let us know below in the comment section.
