Coach Mike Tomlin didn’t want the Steelers team to be divided with their decision against the National Anthem so he told them all to stay inside of the locker room.
Tomlin shouldn’t have expected anything less from a West Point graduate and U.S. Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva. He loves our country as most Americans should. Mad props to the veteran and thank you for serving.
As for Tomlin, he has no idea what it means to put your life on the line for what you believe in. His childish little football snowflakes have never sacrificed a thing in their lives. They don’t know the pain of standing for something to the point of putting your own life on the line to accomplish it. Your little children play football and make millions of dollars.
Veterans make a couple of hundred bucks a month, live like animals, and cry when the national anthem is played and the flag is raised. You’ll never understand it.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin indicated Sunday night that he did not want offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva to stand for the national anthem, instead of sitting it out with the rest of his teammates.
Villanueva, a former Army Ranger who served three tours in Afghanistan, was the only Steelers player to stand for the anthem. While Villanueva stood in the tunnel, hand over his heart, the rest of the team remained in the locker room in protest of President Trump’s comments that players who kneel during the national anthem should be fired.
Tomlin said in a post-game press conference that he was looking for “100 percent participation” in whatever course of action the team took during the national anthem.
I’m even more proud of Villanueva after listening to the coaches comments. I hope he realizes what real bravery and heroism on his team look like. Served his country with actions and stood alone while his team doubled down on divisive behavior.
If the players in the NFL really wanted to make a difference, they’d take their money and influence out into the streets that are overrun with the criminals, whom you claim are being oppressed, and give them a reason and a path to do something better with their lives. Start businesses to give them jobs. Give them scholarships/grants to go to college to better themselves.
Teach them not to break the law, and if they do it anyway, teach them not to resist, or attack a police officer, who WILL kill them, rather than they themselves be killed. Kneeling during the national anthem accomplishes nothing but make you a overpaid, disrespectful, ignorant fool.
