As an American onlooker, I find Brexit confounding. Critics seem to essentially argue that the people didn’t know what they were voting for.
I think the voters should be respected. If we’re going to begin assuming that voters are too stupid to make decisions, democracy is finished.

This clearly shows people miss the point. Theresa May is a remainder, but she’s “backing” Brexit because the people voted to leave and she supposedly supports that and doesn’t want to turn her back on the majority of people and be undemocratic by having another vote the “people’s vote.”
The working class overwhelmingly voted for Brexit. Brexit is what is best for Britain. You are saying that not having a second referendum is against the will of the people but the people have already decided by majority vote to leave. This is actually disgusting.
