On Monday evening, Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein called out former FBI director James Comey at the Greater Baltimore Committee annual meeting, claiming he has become a “partisan pundit.”
I don’t know what is going on here, but I feel Rosenstein knows the grim reaper of justice is coming for him real soon and that’s why he’s calling out Comey right now. If he felt this way about Comey, why didn’t he speak about the former FBI Director when he was at the DOJ?
Rosenstein said the decision to fire Comey was made after he went too far from the standard FBI practices of an open investigation.
“So I do not blame the former director for being angry. I would be, too, if I were in his shoes. But now the former director seems to be acting as a partisan pundit, selling books and earning speaking fees while speculating about the strength of my character and the fate of my immortal soul,”
I kid you not. That is disappointing. Speculating about souls is not a job for police and prosecutors,” Rosenstein told the audience.
Comey speculated through a NY Times op-ed how he felt Rosenstein lacked the strength to “resist the compromises necessary to survive Mr. Trump.”
I don’t think I have ever seen s slicker double agent running an FBI investigation in my career in law enforcement. This guy has played both sides, talked out of both sides of his mouth and still wound up at the top. What a politician!
Rosenstein was ready and willing to conspire in the coup attempt if it succeeded, now, not so much. Rosenstein is a sneak who will play both sides against the middle as long as he is on the side of the winner. He is a patsy and conniving, and his wife works in an area in Washington that is beneficial to both of them! There are too much nepotism and members of the Deep State in the same family.
I think Rosenstein sees the boomerang coming right toward him and the Obama administration. Now he’s looking for cover.
