Rihanna Says No The Super Bowl Halftime Show — Stands By Colin Kaepernick!

What a surprise another person who does not like where she lives.

Pop Singer Rihanna has decided not to perform in the Superbowl Halftime because she supports former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

I wish Americans would just stop supporting these people who do not support the flag, the anthem, and the pledge of allegiance. Is she one who said she would leave the country if then-candidate Donald Trump was elected?

As a veteran who loves his country, I support the national anthem and the U.S. flag. They mean so much to me and I have even fought for and behind it. So this is really not news. I understand Rihanna has exercised her 1st amendment right to decline to participate but I won’t lose any sleep.

Celebrities need to stop using other people’s problems as a platform to gain attention. Stop calling it support. If you supported his beliefs then you would be doing something about it instead of a pathetic, lame, “protest.” And there are plenty of others who want to perform.

This sure sounds like a case of over-inflated self-importance thinking now I guess, that she sure showed them. I prefer someone more worthy. One who respects our national anthem.

“They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance,” the source told US Weekly.

Rihanna’s decision to reject the offer over a political issue follows her Instagram message earlier this month urging fans to vote in the November U.S. congressional elections. She is one of several celebrities who have taken political stances ahead of the voting.

The Super Bowl is the year’s most-watched U.S. television broadcast of the year, regularly drawing more than 100 million viewers. The game will be played on Feb. 3, 2019, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Representatives for the NFL and Rihanna did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A CBS spokeswoman directed questions to the NFL.

An unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight that the NFL approached both Rihanna and singer Pink early in its halftime show discussions, but that both women moved on when the negotiations took a long time. That source said Kaepernick did not come up in those early conversations.
