That’s what this entire thing is, a leader asking another leader for help regarding an allegation that might be criminal against another person living in our country.
I am sure it has been done before, and it will be done again, but the media want to make it into a diabolical illegal scheme by the President.
Fox Business host Trish Regan took time out from her show to address concerns coming from a high-level intelligence official’s whistleblower complaint about Pres. Trump. She said if Trump did, in fact, directly pressure a foreign government to investigate one of his potential 2020 election rivals for corruption that “it seems appropriate.”
What Did He Say: Biden Tells America He’ll Put ‘720 Million’ Women Back to Work
On Friday, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump, while on the phone with the new Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, repeatedly pushed him to re-open an “abandoned” investigation of former VP Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
“If there’s some funny business going on, the American people deserve to know about it, it seems appropriate,” said Regan.
Buck Sexton, conservative talk radio host and Regan’s guest for the evening agreed. He claimed Trump would be well within his “Constitutional powers” to forcefully solicit a foreign government into investigating a US politician for wrongdoing even if that person might also be opposing Trump during the 2020 election.
Sexton: “Nothing has been confirmed yet. If the president said to a foreign leader, foreign head of state, you should investigate corruption. The fact that it might implicate someone the Democrats like doesn’t mean the president is not allowed to do that. The president is allowed to say ‘Have you looked into this?’”
The main concern in this story centers around Biden intentionally withholding $1 billion aid package to force the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor to protect his son from corruption charges. The Washington Post claimed they checked into the situation and gave the story “Three Pinocchios,” but who believes that progressive rag anyway.
However, Biden boasted at a public forum that he blackmailed the Ukrainian government to remove the preceding prosecutor.
Trump’s actions weren’t to investigate Joe; it was to investigate the hiring of his son, Hunter, by the Ukraine natural gas firm Burisma while Joe was overseeing US Ukraine policy. It seems Joe might have used his VP position to get a sweetheart deal with Ukraine to get a job for his son. I think the president has every right to have the claim investigated.
The Democrats are trying hard to spin this. Biden’s son gets caught in shady dealings while Joe is in office, in a country we have a lot of contacts with, and it appears that Joe interceded on his behalf, and yet it is Trump who supposedly did something wrong by suggesting it be looked into? Sounds pretty desperate.
This Confirms It! Biden’s ‘Moderate’ Image Exposed: Far More Radical Than Hillary
I think where Trish and Buck were trying to explain was that the Democrats are working hard to spin this. Biden’s son gets caught in shady dealings while Joe is in office, in a country we have a lot of contacts with, and it appears that Joe interceded on his behalf, and yet it is Trump who supposedly did something wrong by suggesting it be looked into? Dems sound pretty desperate right now.
Democrats don’t seem to understand what Biden did is no different than what Trump is being accused of, actually what Biden did is worse. Biden interfered with an investigation into his family and used the power of his office to do it. President Trump is merely trying to reopen the investigation.
