Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Carson Wentz is out of for the season with a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
Wentz also missed time last season due to an injury. This season was his breakout party as he helped lead the Eagles to the best record in the NFL, powering one of the league’s best offenses.
The entire National Football Conference playoff race changes with this injury as backup quarterback Nick Foles will be asked to lead the team from here on out. Other teams such as the Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints look to have a solid chance of knocking off the Eagles and wrestling away home field advantage if the Eagles hit a quick skid.
