After Special Dem Meeting, Pelosi Says No Mueller Report Classified Briefings

Rep. Nancy Pelosi is calling on public briefings instead of private in regards to Robert Mueller’s report findings. Again, we’re watching more and more panic from Democrats.

Remember, the report hasn’t even been released and there is nobody from the Department of Justice leaking anything to the Democrats like Rod Rosenstein was probably doing. Have you noticed since Rosenstein lost his supervisory role over the investigation and Barr became the AG, Democrats seemed to be blind and unsure about what was going on?

During a Saturday afternoon conference call with roughly 120 members of the Democratic Caucus, Pelosi amplified earlier vows that Democrats will insist Mueller’s full report be released to the public. Mueller filed a confidential version of the document to Attorney General William Barr on Friday. [excerpt via The Hill]

Here is the letter sent to Democrats from Pelosi’s office for Saturday’s meeting:

Dear Democratic Colleague,

Today, we are having an emergency Caucus conference call at 3:00 p.m. E.T. to discuss the transmittal of the Mueller report to the Department of Justice (DOJ).  While we do not know the substance of the report, we will have the relevant Committees of jurisdiction on the call today to update Members on where we go from here.

Leader Schumer and I yesterday issued a joint statement reiterating Democrats’ call for transparency, stating that, “Now that Special Counsel Mueller has submitted his report to the Attorney General, it is imperative for Mr. Barr to make the full report public and provide its underlying documentation and findings to Congress.” Our six distinguished Committee chairs of jurisdiction also stated their call for transparency in a joint statement available here.

This transparency is even more urgent because of Attorney General Barr’s letter to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees yesterday in which he writes, “I am reviewing the report and anticipate that I may be in a position to advise [the Judiciary Committee Chairs and Ranking Members] of the Special Counsel’s principal conclusions as soon as this weekend.”  We are insisting that any briefings to any Committees be unclassified so that Members can speak freely about every aspect of the report and not be confined to what DOJ chooses to release publicly.

Even if DOJ chooses not to prosecute additional individuals, the underlying findings must be provided to Congress and the American people.  The Attorney General’s offer to provide the Committees with a summary of the report’s conclusions is insufficient.  Congress requires the full report and the underlying documents so that the Committees can proceed with their independent work, including oversight and legislating to address any issues the Mueller report may raise.

The American people deserve the truth.  I have great confidence in our Committee Chairs and Members to honor our Congressional responsibility For the People.

Thank you for your leadership.

How rich is that statement coming from this deranged dried up lunatic, “The American people deserve the truth”, LOL, this coming from the party of pathological liars, and treasonous seditious criminals. The truth will come out when this cabal of traitors are arrested, tried, and executed, for their attempt at a coup, and to overthrow a duly elected president by sedition.

I have wished that this whole thing was actually an investigation into the DNC/Clinton Russian collusion and not into Trump and the whole thing was kept under wrap. This is totally delusional but I can dream. But can you imagine how that would go over? I’d dance in the street.

It’s worth pointing out that the Democrat party authored the current rules which require confidentiality of special counsel reports. Reports used to be more public. When Bill Clinton was impeached, the Democrat party changed the rules to keep the report confidential. Now they want to change the rules again, or rather, ignore the rules they said were necessary.

On Friday, AG Barr sent a letter to both the House and Senate Judiciary committees informing them there would be “as much transparency as possible.” Barr stressed that he was using the regulations governing the special counsel’s charge and would be able to brief committee heads on Robert Mueller’s “principal conclusions” as soon as this weekend.

The only reason the Dem’s want full transparency “and the underlying documents” is for the purpose of hounding, misrepresenting and smearing innocent people. For Democrats justice is never achievable, only complete annihilation will suffice.
