On Monday afternoon, Rep. Nancy Pelosi issued a statement which defended Rep. Rashida Tlaib and called on President Trump and Republicans to “apologize” for grossly misrepresenting her recent comments about Palestinians role in the Holocaust.
If the Democrats are the ones giving Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar second, third and fourth chances to spread anti-Semitic rhetoric without Congressional blowback, that’s on them. America wants checks and balances and an apology won’t come anytime soon from those who hold this country in higher regard.
Pelosi tweeted: “Republicans’ desperate attempts to smear @RepRashida & misrepresent her comments are outrageous,” Pelosi wrote. “President @realDonaldTrump & House GOP should apologize to Rep. Tlaib & the American people for their gross misrepresentations.”

Tlaib’s remarks were as follows:
There’s always kind of a calming feeling I tell folks when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports.
And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.
Shouldn’t she be focused on her impoverished and crime-ridden district in Detroit, Michigan rather than a place thousands of miles away that is not even in the United States? It’s as if she were deliberately put up to Congress by a special interest group to promote her Arab Muslim cause in a place thousands of miles away from her crisis-plagued congressional district and for no other reason.
Anyone want to place bets on how big the massive double standards will exist in the media and the establishment over her comments? Think she’ll be banned from social media? Given widespread media condemnation?
Or will the media say that her comment was out of context or ignore her remarks all together?
The reason why we should allow people who do not embrace America, American values and traditions into this country or allow them to be in government. Are we a country of REAL Americans with government officials representing Americans, or are we going to diversify our government into multi-cultural nationalities who want our country and government to be like the country they came from?
I sure do not want America to be a country of values that are not American. Shouldn’t we all ask the question, if you came here for what America had to offer, why do you want to change it to become something it isn’t? We are not Palestine, Israel, Somali, German, French, Russian, China, Mexico – this is America. We are made up of many nationalities who want to embrace America for what it is – not what it could be as your original home country.
Love it as it is, or LEAVE IT, please!
