New England Patriots Release WR Antonio Brown Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

A little over a week ago, the Oakland Raiders release wide receiver, Antonio Brown.

Now he’s without a team again as the New England Patriots have released him.

Do you think Antonio Brown is done in the NFL or will he play agaain?

Brown was so happy that he forced himself off of the Raider’s roster, he let all of Twitter know with a quick video running through his house, yelling “I’m free.”

He was quickly picked up by the New England Patriots which forced football fans to question the integrity of that team’s management, especially after a second woman came forward with allegations but no lawsuit.

The first woman, Britney Taylor, released these damning text messages from Brown, which made even the staunch advocate shake their head at how things were moving for the wideout. While being Brown’s former trainer, she filed a federal lawsuit in the Southern District of Florida on Sept. 11 claiming Brown sexually assaulted her in three separate instances, according to Ben Shpigel of the New York Times.

Brown has not denied sending the texts as the young lady has been interviewed by the NFL head office earlier this week. Earlier today, Patriots coach Bill Billichek walked out of a press conference when the reporters kept asking questions about Brown.

The Patriots allowed Brown to play last week in Foxboro, at their first home game of the season, but despite Brown’s impact on the field, they have joined the Raiders and Steelers in deciding his talent is not worth the off-field negatives.

His career isn’t done just yet. Brown could still draw interest in the league’s open market after being named first-team All-Pro four times and leading the NFL in touchdowns last year, but as toxic as he is right now, the headache of having him on a team is not worth the risk.
