UPDATE: Associated Press Deletes Controversial Fresno Tweet That Omitted “Allahu Akbar”

On Wednesday, it took the Associated Press about 22 hours to delete their original tweet on Fresno’s terrorist attack from yesterday.

It came after plenty of criticism for not including “Allahu Akbar” in their title, which is what the terrorist shouted.

Here was the original text AP posted at about 1:30 PM before it got deleted.

Fresno police say suspect in triple slaying told them he hates white people, shouted “God is great” before killings.

Today, they said there would be a correction to their new headline.

And now here is the updated version on their Twitter page below.

They still did not include the actual quote

AP just added the words “in Arabic” to the new title. They waited 22 hours just to fail again.

But conservatives on Twitter had enough with their political correctness.

It is why so many people do not trust the mainstream media. Whether you voted for Trump or not, these liberal outlets always seemed to backfire no matter how hard they tried to go after him.

This story is not the first time AP had to delete an original tweet. They have a history of getting stories wrong and having to fix their headlines.

Here are just a few.

Clearly, they are sloppy with many of them, not just with Fresno. It is hard to believe they would ever call themselves professionals.

Two things make great journalism:

1.) Making minimal mistakes in reporting a story.

2.) Always being truthful in reporting a story.

Too bad AP has a hard time following those requirements. They only deleted their tweet from the pressure everyone gave them.

If they were serious about correcting their mistakes, it should not take a full day to fix it.
