Panama City Mayor Supports Florida Gov. Rick Scott

Panama City Mayor Greg Brudnicki (D) Supports Florida Gov. Rick Scott.  That’s right, a Democrat Mayor of one of the largest cities in N.W. Florida is openly supporting Republican Florida Governor Rick Scott.

Greg BrudnickiIn front of an enthusiastic crowd of 100 or so supporters Gov. Rick Scott went to the stump to tout his record as Governor of the State of Florida.  Named the “Its Working for Florida!” campaign Gov. Scott is making it well known that he has led the way on helping Florida get out of the crap sandwich that was left behind by former Gov. Charlie Crist after Crist’s failed attempt to enter the U.S. Senate.

Gov. Scott specifically promoted the following;

  • 563,900 Private Sector Jobs Created Since December 2010
  • Unemployment Drops From 11.1% to 6.1%
  • 3rd Largest Drop In Unemployment Out Of All 50 States
  • Unemployment Below National Average Since June 2013
  • Cut Taxes 25 Times For Families and Job Creators
  • Crime Drops To A 43 Year Low

And most impressive is the $500 million in tax cuts have occurred under his administration.

The unexpected thing is that Greg Brudnicki, a Democrat, was there to cheer on the Governor.  In these days of hyper-partisan politics, to see a Democrat standing along side Republicans on anything is rather surprising.  But Mayor Brudnicki left little doubt as to his opinion on the efforts Gov. Scott has made to make things better for the quality of life in N.W. Florida and specifically Panama City, Florida.  Mr. Brudnicki stated it was refreshing to have a businessman hold the State’s highest office instead of a career politician.  Mayor Brudnicki also thanked Gov. Scott in helping Panama City’s efforts in revitalizing the city’s marina district.

Now Mayor Brudnicki might receive some “heat” from his fellow Democrats and that will probably be somewhat expected on his part.  But if the Mayor really feels that a Republican in the highest office in the State has done such an outstanding job for Panama City and the rest of Florida.  And it can be assumed that he feels that the presumed Democrat (Charlie Crist) did such a poor job running the State of Florida.  Why doesn’t the Democratic Mayor just face the facts that his values are more inline with the Republican and quit fighting the fight for Democrats and switch his party affiliation to the Republican Party?

If he needs any help I’m sure that former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist can help with the switch paperwork, after all….

Charlie has changed parties more than a call-girl in Las Vegas.

Come on Greg, denying your inner-self won’t help you feel better, you know you want to switch parties.  Just do it.
