Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who just stepped down as White House press secretary, fired back at freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) — who on Twitter called out adviser and first daughter Ivanka Trump for accompanying her father, President Donald Trump, to the G20 summit this past weekend.
Ocasio-Cortez — almost certainly for the benefit of her many followers on social media — ripped into Ivanka Trump and claimed that “being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification.”
“It hurts our diplomatic standing when the president phones it in & the world moves on,” claimed AOC — as she’s become known.
“The U.S. needs our president working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either,” the novice lawmaker continued.
Ivanka Trump reportedly represented the U.S. in some meetings with leaders from China, Japan, Russia, India and Australia during the summit in Osaka.
Sanders, the mother of three young children, recently stepped away from her role at the White House.
Her replacement for the position is Stephanie Grisham, who had previously worked for Melania Trump in a senior role.
Sanders said, “Phone-it-in @AOC is wasting your time on Twitter while destroying jobs in [New York].”
Sanders — who was having none of the Democrat socialist’s antics on social media — also said that President Trump and Ivanka Trump have created “millions of new jobs and continue to make the U.S. stronger on the global stage but thank you for reminding Americans every day why they elected Trump.”

AOC was largely responsible for Amazon’s decision to pull out of its original plans to build a headquarters in Long Island City, New York.
Ocasio-Cortez was among the elected officials who opposed Amazon’s planned expansion.

Amazon stunned many New Yorkers and the nation at large when the company bowed to intense opposition from some state and local officials some months back — and announced it was abandoning the Big Apple for its second headquarters.
“For Amazon, the commitment to build a new headquarters requires positive, collaborative relationships with state and local elected officials who will be supportive over the long-term,” Amazon said in a statement earlier this year.
But “a number of state and local politicians have made it clear that they oppose our presence and will not work with us to build the type of relationships that are required to go forward with the project we and many others envisioned in Long Island City,” the company also admitted.

Lawmakers pointed to “the secrecy of the deal itself, the lack of public input and the potential for gentrification and displacement resulting from 25,000 new highly paid tech workers in the area,” as Fox News pointed out in a piece about the issue.
