Strange how one of the family owners (one of Sam Walton’s sons) is a big Obama supporter, I find it humorously ironic that this is happening to him, and therefore I have no problem supporting the employees in this particular case. I totally support capitalism and business, but I don’t support businesses that give millions to the enemies of capitalism and business, like Obama. Sam Walton did not support democrats, but his son sure does.
I don’t know if Wal-Mart employees are unionized or not, if they are I’m sure they supported Obama, but my issue is with Sam Walton, Jr. – he supported Obama and I think it’s deserved payback that the very guy he supported is the same guy whose policies will destroy Wal-Mart as well.
Here’s a question. Does walmart need a union? Are the “workers” oppressed in some way? Are their pay and benefits somehow illegal? Why a union? Unions will take more of the “workers” pay. The majority of private companies do without unions. Only the “public” sector looks to unions now. Unions will only increase the costs of doing business and cause prices to rise. Do you want to pay for it? Don’t focus on a small group of union supporters when the majority of workers are happy without one.
