‘False And Defamatory!” Nunes Sues CNN For $435M Over Ukraine Story

Rep. Devin Nunes has sued CNN over defamation and accusing them of publishing fake news hit piece on him relating to the Trump impeachment inquiry.

The only leverage that the opposition media has is that most viewers don’t know the difference between fact and fiction.

Fact, the opposition media told everyone the night of the election there was no road to victory for Pres. Trump. Ever since, they have been working overtime to bash anything and EVERYTHING surrounding this Presidency and will pretty much LOSE in the end. Much like the Democrats in 2020. When you have zero credibility or objectivity, it shows. Everyone has to hear the word bombshell because they know you don’t care unless they fabricate a Maury Povich moment.

Once again, CNN ran with a story they can’t prove because it is potentially damaging to Trump and may help the impeachment efforts. All the news you need to further the DNC political agenda. This is why they are fake news.

Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., sued CNN for defamation on Tuesday, accusing the cable network of publishing a “demonstrably false hit piece” about him amid his high-profile opposition to the Trump impeachment inquiry.

The 47-page lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, accuses the liberal network of publishing “numerous egregiously false and defamatory” statements about Nunes on Nov. 22, 2019 when journalist Vicky Ward reported claims that Nunes met with Ukranian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in Vienna in 2018 to dig “up dirt” on Hunter and Joe Biden.

Nunes, who has been leading GOP opposition to the House Democratic impeachment inquiry in the House Intelligence Committee, says he “did not go to Vienna or anywhere else in Austria in 2018” and “has never met” Shokin.

“CNN is the mother of fake news. It is the least trusted name. CNN is eroding the fabric of America, proselytizing, sowing distrust and disharmony. It must be held accountable,” the lawsuit, obtained by Fox News, states. [Fox News]

Not just CNN – ALL including Fox – they’re mouthpieces for opinion and ideology – we need to get back to news reporting – its the old idle hands. I remember as a kid in the UK (60-70’s), the news was only on briefly on the hour and for 30 minutes at 10:00 PM – they only had time to report goings-on – local and around the world. Now they have to fill in the whole day on their respective channels, spouting their particular brand of rubbish ideology.

I’m glad Nunes is taking this step, and I hope many others join in, going after any networks spreading disinformation. I’m not at all against solid, fact-based reporting. What I am against is the kind of stuff we see from the liberal media. I’m honestly not sure whether the Dems are pushing the media, or perhaps even worse, the media driving this whole mess.

I think we’ve had this kind of yellow journalism since well before our Constitution in the US. It’s undoubtedly not going to go away if Nunes is successful. Still, perhaps he can help restore a bit more balance to an industry that right now, is losing much of its credibility, and in the process, literally working to remove a sitting American president.
