No Boots On Ground? Obama sends 100 Marines to protect Huge US Embassy in Baghdad

About 100 Marines are headed to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad today and some embassy staffers being sent out of town as tensions rise due to the advance of a radical Islamic insurgency.

One hundred Marines is not enough man power. thirty three Marines for each shift, against thousands of invading forces. If we are going to try and protect our embassy, we should have thousands of marines their.

The U.S. took additional precautions as ISIS – the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria – expanded its territory in Iraq by capturing the city of Tal Afar, which is west of Mosul.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has ordered the USS George H.W. Bush from the northern Arabian Sea and it has arrived in the Persian Gulf as President Obama considers possible military options for Iraq. Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said deploying the USS Bush will give Obama additional flexibility if military action were required to protect American citizens and interests in Iraq.

Our Marines are terrific but not against those odds. One has to conclude that whomever is calling the tactical shots in Washington is doing just as poor a job as the strategic folks.

Anyone else with me in saying Obama should have flown all of the Americans out of there three days ago? Instead of making such a simple, common-sense move, Obama takes a golfing vacation. Now ISIS is on the doorstep and if just one American dies, who do we blame? Obama? Heck yea!
