New El Salvador President Takes Blame For Father/Daughter Rio Grande Drowning

Democrats in the U.S. Congress and the opposition media had laid the blame of a father and daughter drowning but the new President of El Salvador, President Nayib Bukele is taking responsibility for this tragic incident.

Bukele said it is on his government to make El Salvador a safer place for its citizens, and one was leaving for another country is “an option, not an obligation.”

Good on him the first step to resolving a problem is to admit you have one. Let me say without prejudice; it takes a real man to admit what he admitted. The Socialist Democrat party is incapable of this because to them it’s not a problem, it’s merely ammunition to be used to lie and grab power. Hopefully, it’s not too late, and he can make a difference.

A photograph from the Mexican side of the river showing the body of Oscar Martinez and his daughter, Valeria, lying face down with Valeria’s arms still wrapped around her father’s neck shocked the world late last month amid an already heated debate about illegal immigration in the US.

President Nayib Bukele, who took office a month ago with the promise of making El Salvador a safer and better place, told the BBC in an interview published Monday his country is to blame for the deaths. He said his government is responsible for fixing the problems that have forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee in the first place.

“People don’t flee their homes because they want to, people flee their homes because they feel they have to,” Bukele told the BBC. “Why? Because they don’t have a job, because they are being threatened by gangs, because they don’t have basic things like water, education, health.”

He continued: “We can blame any other country but what about our blame? What country did they flee? Did they flee the United States? They fled El Salvador, they fled our country. It is our fault.” [Fox News]

Two basic problems that continually feed on each other: The peoples south of the border refuse to step up and make their countries liveable, while the leftist liberals in the US encourage them to give up on their homelands and come here instead

I understand Bukele’s decision to take responsibility, but a lot of Americans believe this debacle is more the fault of the Democrat Party. They have encouraged this behavior, they refuse to build a wall that would discourage it, they constantly hold out “amnesty,” they hand out OUR tax money (or borrowed money) to lure them in. Those who die are just “collateral damage” to the Democrat Party’s future of power policy.

Let me reiterate, Dems have encouraged these illegals to make this dangerous trip. And then they abandon them at the border by not providing beds, food, clothing.

This is the state of compassion that the Democrats currently have for all people.
