MSNBC Guest: Trump Uses Anti-America, Anti-God To Ramp Up His Voters During Elections

Jim Vandehei, CEO of Axios and the former executive editor and co-founder of Politico, thinks he has Trump and his supporters strategy for elections down pat.

Vandehei joined Joe Scarborough to analyze Trump and claims the only way Trump wins is he has to paint the Democrat candidate as anti-God, anti-America to ramp up the vote for his side.

Let’s be honest. Calling out Democrats for who they are is not wrong. They are the party that booed God. They have attacked Christian traditions and values on a regular basis, either through the legacy media or school teachings. They allow and support kneeling against the National Anthem and protesting the American flag allowing their ilk to burn it whenever they feel like it.

They choose to place this type of action under the 1st amendment – Freedom of speech, but I see much difference. I agree we should call them out for who they are and if they are afraid or embarrassed, that’s on them. But to have them use the television platform to turn our honesty into a weakness is reprehensible.

Video excerpt:

I don’t even know that it’s surprising. We’ve talked about this over and over. This is Donald Trump’s party now. If you look at his message in the final week, it’s not about tax cuts. It about sanctuary cities. It’s about being weak on crime. It’s about being anti-America, anti-God. Those things they believe are what will resonate with the people who turned out for Donald Trump that the Republicans need to turn out in this race to be able to hold a seat that they should hold.

The President doesn’t like this candidate, the Republicans don’t like this candidate, but it is a seat they should be able to hold. And when you have outside groups pouring $10 million in, basically all the mechanics of the campaign would suggest Republicans would win this and potentially win this easily.

So when you feel like you’re not going to, you try to get people motivated and fear is an awesome motivator in politics and it’s been a template that worked well for Trump and that we’ve seen not just in this race but other races.
