New Zealand Man Travels To U.S. And Breaks Into 14-Year-Old’s Home He Met Online!

A New Zealand man traveled to the United States, hitchhiked 30 miles and broke into a home of a 14-year-old.

The result of this home entry was the mother saw him commit this action and shot him in the neck, wounding him and sending him to the hospital. His name is Troy George Skinner, age 25.

Not only did he try to enter the home without authority, but he also brought a knife and duct tape to the Goochland, Virginia home.

According to WTVR, Skinner shouted that he had hitchhiked 30 miles and needed help.

The mother called her husband, who told her to get a gun. When Skinner threw a landscaping stone through a glass door, the mom shot twice, hitting the intruder once in the neck.

“He was not invited here, he was not expected here, he had been told in the past that the daughter no longer wished to communicate with him,” Agnew said.

Authorities believe Skinner first encountered the 14-year-old using a chat service called Discord. She attempted to cut off all contact after chatting for about four months.

Agnew said Skinner will be charged with breaking and entering with a deadly weapon with the intent to commit a serious crime.

If it wasn’t for the mom, who had a firearm inside the home to protect her family, who knows what would have happened. This should be a teachable moment for parents with children who are sucked into online games and social media apps.

This could have turned out a lot worse than what transpired. Skinner must have had a serious desire to be with this young girl. He traveled that entire way thinking he was going to connect with that young girl with a knife and duct tape. That’s creepy and evil!
