It seems like there is an endless fawn-a-thon by the mainstream media over Michelle Obama and of course, she happily jumps into the spotlight. The Obamas behave more like celebrities than public servants. They don’t seem to understand the difference between the two. Especially not Michelle Obama, who reportedly has exceeded every other First Lady in the number of appearances on late night television shows.
According to WaPo:
[Michelle Obama] has, by our count, appeared at least 14 times on late-night shows since her husband took office in January 2009. She also stopped by The Colbert Report, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno prior to being first lady.
Her predecessors don’t even come close to those stats.
Did you get that? 14 times on late-night shows. That’s not even including all of the other television appearances she has made. The Celebrity-in-Chief’s wife will make another late night appearance this evening, February 20 on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”. This appearance comes just two years after she and Fallon participated in a tug-of-war in a Late Night With Jimmy Fallon clip taped in the White House (pictured, above).
So, who else WONT be watching The Tonight Show tonight?
