Our immigration laws are in place for a reason.
Liberal news outlets and opposition media will claim that Melania Trump stood against Pres. Trump’s policy to enforce the law that was on the books, created by past administrations. That’s not true. She never said she didn’t agree with her husband; she asked for both sides to fix the problem instead of arguing with each other.
Immigration into the country is something we know happens all the time but illegal immigration has to be dealt with swiftly, and that’s something both sides are unwilling and afraid to tackle. A legal immigrant has to be financially stable, have a job waiting for them, be able to afford a residence without assistance from the taxpayers, and pass a medical physical to ensure they are not bringing in diseases to the US.
Illegal immigration is contrary to every one of those requirements.

Melania Trump urged “both sides of the aisle” on Sunday to come together to stop federal authorities from separating children from their parents when apprehended at the border, a rare public intervention in an issue that has generated enormous criticism of her husband.
In a statement issued by her office, the first lady expressed empathy for affected families, saying the country should be governed “with a heart,” but did not directly take issue with President Trump’s policy. Instead, by saying that “both sides” needed to agree, she adopted his argument that the situation was caused by political stalemate rather than a policy he initiated.
“Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” the first lady said in the statement, which her office said was issued in response to questions by reporters. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with a heart.”
The president has falsely blamed Democrats for the situation, saying that he was simply enforcing a law that they had written. But no law requires families to necessarily be separated at the border. Children have been taken away from their parents because of a Trump administration “zero tolerance” policy enacted this year to prosecute all unlawful immigrants as criminals.
In 1997 it was made a felony to enter this country illegally. When illegal entrants were captured, they were incarcerated with their children. There was an outcry from the left saying you can not place children in custody with adults it was endangering the children. This was a Democrat mantra it is the result of the left. Trump is right. Do not believe the MSM outlets. Remember the last administration put kids in cages.
Melania is a beautiful and loving lady with a big heart. I too hate to see these children having to be separated from parents, however America had nothing to do with them being here and we do have laws that their parents are breaking. It is against our law to enter this country illegally. I feel sure the parents knew this, but entered anyway. What were they expecting, open arms because they brought children with them?
We can not put children in jail with their law-breaking parents so send them all home. If we left them on the side of the road what kind of country would we be? So we do the only thing we can. Lock up the law-breaking parents and take care of their children. I bet we do as good of a job as they did dragging them across several counties and all kinds of ruff territory and through no telling what kind of weather. All that was really good for their parents to put them though. But of course everything is the good old USA’S fault!
