Elijah Cummings is running scared with the announcement of Corrogan Vaughn running for his seat from Maryland. On February 25, Vaughn launched his campaign putting people and principles over parties and politics.
Vaughn released this Campaign for Congress statement and Cummings was not happy about it.
Winning this seat will have extreme national implications. As one who has stood on the side of citizens in Maryland and across the country, I need your help.
I have the support of both the MDGOP and the MFRA, (Maryland Federation Republican Assembly). Congressman Dr. Andy Harris, is both a friend and supporter.
For the first time in many election cycles, this seat can go from a celebrity- minded, step and fetch boy for the White House and this Administration to a servant-minded principled statesman.
Cummings actually called Vaughn to ask him “Why are you running against me?” Vaughn responded “at the end of the today, the citizens of 7th congressional district deserves and will receive a candidate who puts people and principle over party and politics.”
Vaughn thinks he can mount a solid campaign against a democrat candidate that has not been able to represent the state as a true leader. Vaughn has a lot of respect from leaders on the Hill such as Steve King, Rand Paul and even radio show talk show host Mark Levin and Sean Hannity.
He needs your support to defeat Cummings but just know he’s willing to put in the work to make it happen.
