KT McFarland Changing Roles In Trump Admin?

I have listened to K.T. McFarland on national security issues and she’s dead on so this is news to me.

McFarland was appointed by Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, so I think it’s understandable if New NSA Lt. General H.R. McMaster wants his own team in there who he doesn’t have to explain who/what/where and most importantly the why behind his decisions, they already know.

K. T. McFarland has been asked to step down as deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump after less than three months and will become U.S. ambassador to Singapore, according to a person familiar with White House personnel moves.

The departure of the 65-year-old former Fox News commentator comes as Trump’s second National Security Advisor, Lt General H.R. McMaster, puts his own stamp on the National Security Council after taking over in February following the firing of Michael Flynn.

It follows a reorganization of the NSC in the past week to remove Stephen Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist and senior counselor, from the principals committee.

Former Goldman Sachs executive Dina Powell remains as deputy national security adviser, and a second person will be named to that role.

She is a very knowledgeable and experienced staff in the White House stretching from Nixon, Ford and Reagan. She is no stranger to subjects concerning China. She will make a perfect pick for the position of Ambassador of the United States to Singapore. Stepping down doesn’t mean “fired” or “dismissed.” As the Administration matures with the fast evolving situations around the globe, correct people has to be strategically placed to ensure the best for the job.

I thought she would have flourished in that role so I am sorry to see her go.
