Kanye West is getting the Fox News roll out but give me Kid Rock.
This really interesting. When I was younger we would roll playing a few Kid Rock songs as our “anthem” to party time. It’s been a few years, and I am not that same person, but my conservative values have sharpened. I find it very cool that Kid Rock shares many of our values and doesn’t put up with liberal crap.
Sources tell Billboard that Rock will join Trump and Kanye West– whose attendance was revealed earlier on Wednesday (Oct. 10) — at the White House, to witness the music legislation become law.
As well, Recording Academy President and CEO Neil Portnowand Recording Industry Association of America President Mitch Glazier will also attend the event, among others. The signing is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. local time.
Rock visited Trump in the White House last year with Ted Nugent during the president’s first 100 days in office.
Billboard has reached out to Rock and West’s reps for comment regarding their presence at the president’s signing of the historic bill, as well as their support for the legislation. Neither artist has been a particularly vocal advocate of the bill, but they have both shown ardent support for the president.
The MMA creates a blanket mechanical license and a centralized system to administer it, while changing some considerations used in setting music publishing rates. It also compels digital and satellite radio to pay royalties on pre-1972 master recordings to labels and artists and codifies the procedure by which SoundExchange can pay producers and engineers royalties for the records it works on. It is the product of compromise throughout the music industry and has received rare support across sectors.
Kid Rock is sort of the Trump of the music world. The left senses that he’s dangerous. You can tell because they’re already trying to destroy him. The MSN news homepage today had some story knocking him. Out of a gazillion different stories they could devote their limited space too, they go after some rock and roll guy. There’s a reason for that.
I’ve followed Kid Rock’s commentary long enough to believe he would serve well as a guardian of American freedoms. He loves America, which is more than I can say for much of Congress, and is more than enough for me to support him.
