Katrina Pierson Congressional Run Defies Ongoing False Narrative from the Left

A Democrat’s worst nightmare is a black person who thinks for themselves and who knows that they can succeed without the scraps of the government overlords. What’s even more frightening for them is when a beautiful, intelligent, well spoken, liberty-minded black woman not only rejects what the Democrat party stands for, but decides to run for public office as a Republican seeking to bring attention to the fact that there is an alternative.

Katrina Pierson is doing just that. As a grassroots conservative and now Republican candidate for Congress in the great state of Texas, Katrina Pierson has defied many of the ongoing false narratives created by the Democrat party. Most notably, the false accusation that somehow the Republican Party has waged a ‘war on women’ and that black Americans are not represented in the party.

Lloyd Marcus hits the nail on the head as to why Katrina Pierson poses a serious threat to the Democrats:

“The last thing Democrats want on the national stage is a black conservative Republican, anti-abortion, successful single mom who worked her way through college to achieve her American dream (without seeking government for answers).  They do not want another non-victim-minded black elected official out there touting traditional values, preaching that the rewards of hard work and self-reliance are self-respect and dignity.  It would drive Democrats to drink.”

Katrina Pierson has earned the support of some pretty big names in the conservative moment, including Tea Party favorites Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin.
