Kaepernick Finally Speaks Out On Betsy Ross Nike Shoe Controversy — Invokes Frederick Douglass!

Colin Kaepernick, a former NFL quarterback, finally broke his silence, after Nike stopped selling sneakers featuring a Betsy Ross American flag version.

Kaepernick complained to the company and got the shoe idea removed. After a few days of controversy, the failed NFL quarterback quoted Civil War-era abolitionist and orator Frederick Douglass as his first public comment.

“What have I, or those I represent, to do with your national independence? This Fourth of July is yours, not mine…There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of these United States at this very hour.”
– Frederick Douglass

When Frederick Douglas said what he said in 1852 he was right. It was not the slaves country. But, Douglas was smart enough and honest enough to say that it could be if the white people would abide by what was in the Declaration of Independence. Kaepernick is the beneficiary of that freedom but is too ignorant and hateful to realize it or appreciate it.

Kaepernick’s whole statement is built on ignorance. He has zero knowledge of Douglass writing, patriotism or support of the Constitution. He hates America. He most certainly hates the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and especially the First Amendment. All of these have been protected by WAR. Tell me Kaepernick about where the world would be today without America.

Let us not forget that a profoundly religious President Lincoln righted a wrong 156 years ago – this clown wants to revisit that wrong while he reaps the rewards of a society that enabled him to become a multi-millionaire? He needs to find something useful to do with his time and money.

Kaepernick will never be anything except a symbol of ignorant snowflakes everywhere. His football skills were mediocre, and he is now too old to play. He may have destroyed the behemoth known as Nike, with his antiAmerican screeds. We’ll see. I haven’t bought their stuff in years because their greed offends me. But greedy, unAmerican and cowardly? Is that enough for other Americans?

I’m so tired of the neo-abolitionist fighting against the slavery of over a century ago. Slavery is illegal in first world countries, so Kaepernick needs to learn that lesson and either leave and fight real slavery in places like North Africa and others.

He’s a well-traveled man, pick an airport and fly away. We won’t miss you.
