To be honest, I do not think many Americans that are right-leaning felt that Sen. Jeff Flake was going to support anything from Pres. Trump.
Pres. Trump invited Senate Republicans to the White House on Friday morning to discuss the way to include border security funding in the bill that they plan to send up to keep government moving and avoid a shutdown.
Flake, who is on his way out tweeted that he would not support any border security if it deals with using the nuclear option created by former Democrat Sen. Harry Reid who created a way around Republicans who disagree with Barack Obama’s judicial nominations.
The Senate filibuster is about the only mechanism left in Washington that brings the parties together. Deploying the nuclear option would blow that up. I will not vote to do it. https://t.co/XDL19fuSMP

Conservatives didn’t waste time in responding to Flake’s statement:
One week left of you being a pain in the ass.

Who is paying you to go against the American public?

The legacy you are leaving is one if a pathetic coward. Stand for something. You won an election on the basis of conservatism and are leaving on the basis of standing for nothing.

You are such an obstructionist and I’m glad you are leaving.

If the wall isn’t important enough to use the nuclear option then nothing is. Fake is a petty little man with no honor or integrity. It’s good that he’s leaving.
