Hollywood Actress Jane Fonda says she is “ashamed” that she kept the secret of Harvey Weinstein for over a year, after learning about how he treats young up and coming actresses.
Fonda also said he goes for the young because they are more vulnerable. The more information exposing Weinstein, the more the snowball gets larger, and it’s grabbing anyone and everyone along the way. Weinstein was somehow allowed to continue to do this to women and get away with it.
The problem with older Hollywood is they grew up in the age where secrets were held in strict confidential environments. Remember Rock Hudson? He died of HIV (AIDS), and nobody let out that he was a homosecccxual. There have been others, but Hollywood contains these lies and secret while hurts more youth.
You can tell Fonda’s sincerity in the video below. I also believe if the NY Times wouldn’t have released the story and the New Yorker wouldn’t have released the audiotape (Related Article – New Yorker Releases Audio Showing Aggressive Harvey Weinstein In Action; Democrats Defend Him!), nobody would be speaking about this and it would be allowed to continue.
Jane Fonda, in a new interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour set to air Friday, said she knew of the allegations against Harvey Weinstein a year ago, and is “ashamed” she didn’t say anything at the time.
She was told of Weinstein’s misconduct by Rosanna Arquette, who is one of the many women who has since come forward to speak out against the movie mogul since separate reports from The New York Times and New Yorker broke detailing claims of sexual harassment and rape against him.
“I found out about Harvey a year ago and I’m ashamed I didn’t say anything back then,” she told Amanpour. When Amanpour asked why she didn’t speak up at the time, the actress said: “I was not that bold. I guess it hadn’t happened to me and I didn’t feel it was my place.”

Fonda’s voice still carries weight around Tinseltown and there’s no telling how much Weinstein would have got into trouble if she would have said something.
