If Chris McDaniel wins, McConnell and Boehner need to sit down with tea party

Speaking during a breakout session at the Road to Majority Conference this morning, Political Journalist and Conservative Columnist, John Fund told the audience that if Thad Cochran is defeated by Chris McDaniel, he will be the second senior leader in his caucus to lose his primary. If Cochran joins Cantor in being ousted by primary voters, Fund said that McConnell and Boehner must recognize what is happening within their party and sit down with tea party leaders in order to work out a ‘peace treaty’.

Fund reminded the audience that the real enemy of the Republicans are the Democrats and they are ready to face us in November. He lamented that we need to come together so that we can defeat them which is why Republicans can not afford to use the resources for sniping at one another with more important battles to fight in the months ahead.
