Ryan Belcher is a 29-year-old powerlifter who will have tales written about his heroic feat which saved a man trapped under a jeep earlier this month.
Belcher hails from Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he owns a gym. The perks of owning a gym are that you can also work out there five days a week with no problem.
Earlier this month, Belcher heard a crash outside of his gym ran toward the situation where he noticed a Jeep Cherokee had flipped over. What was different about this flip is that the driver was pinned halfway underneath.
Ryan noticed that four men were trying their best to lift the jeep off the driver, but they couldn’t get it to budge.
“From there, I just kind of got tunnel vision, and then I grabbed the back, where the window was smashed out and lifted up and started pushing.”
Ryan sprung into action, single-handedly lifting the vehicle off the driver, allowing the four men to free the pinned man. The driver, Montell Tinsley, age 36, was rushed to the hospital soon after.
This feat of strength is not normal in human beings, but I have heard of individuals being able to do feats like this as their adrenaline helps give them a burst of super-strength.
Ryan is already a strong man so imagine having an extra bit of super-strength to lift/move a car to save a life. Ryan visited Montrell in the hospital where the victim thanked his “Hulk.”
