Everytime This NFL Football Player Scores, He Gives The Ball To His Mom Who Is Blind

Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is a special person.

As many Americans have turned off football because of the arrogant players and their kneeling exhibitions during the National Anthem, this touching story is one you can’t miss.

Hopkins started a tradition to give tribute to his mom by finding her every time he scores a touchdown and hands her the game ball.

In 2002, Deandre’s mother, Sabrina Greenlee, lost her vision in an acid attack. Hopkins was just a child at the time. A woman threw a mixture of lye and bleach on Greenlee after learning her boyfriend was cheating on her with Greenlee. She was left for dead at a gas station, according to USA Today.

Watch the ESPN special on DeAndre and Sabrina below.

Although Sabrina attends nearly every Texans home game, she has never been able to watch DeAndre play in the NFL. But that doesn’t matter.

“He doesn’t care that I can’t see,” Sabrina said. “He just wants me there.”
