Passengers Involved In Accident That Involved Kevin Hart Lawyer Up — Could Get Ugly!

Remember, these are the times we are living in.

On September 1, comedian Kevin Hart along with two passengers in his vehicle were involved in a car crash. Hart was in serious condition but is doing a lot better according to reports. According to TMZ, everyone in the Hart car sustained injuries and has lawyered up as it seems they are expecting a very large lawsuit.

Hart looks to be the target of the lawsuits as the passengers (friends) will try to claim that his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, at the time of the crash, was not equipped with any safety harnesses or airbags. I am sure they knew that before getting in for a ride so maybe they risked it?

They will probably make an argument that Hart was worried about keeping his car in a vintage state instead of providing safety for his passengers that would ride in his vehicle, which would constitute negligence.

Hart was not driving the car, so the driver would probably be on the hook for Kevin and the other passenger but speaking about that right now is premature since officials are is still investigating the cause of the crash.

According to TMZ, the company that customized the car for Hart could also see a lawsuit because of the same safety reasons mentioned above. I am not sure of the company’s name, but you would expect they were experts on cars and giving one that doesn’t have updated safety features is negligence also, especially with a 720 horsepower engine.

Law enforcement sources said the California Highway Police might lobby the California State Legislature to prohibit custom car companies from rolling out products without safety features such as harnesses, regardless of whether the customer wants them or not.

That seems the most responsible.
