U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, delivered some news they didn’t want to hear but she promised them would happen.
Americans have been asking for U.S. Leaders to stop funding the U.N. because they continued to vote against our interests while taking our goodwill and laughing at us. This is another something, something that would never happen under a Clinton administration.
Haley announced the U.S. would cut spending to the tune of $285K in 2018. Well, that’s a start. I’m glad they didn’t pull all our funding at once. I say do it a little at a time, sort of like death by a thousand cuts. After all, that’s what the U.N. has been trying to do with us.

UN Ambassador Nikki Haley announced Sunday that the United States negotiated a $285 million cut in the United Nations’ “bloated” budget for next year.
“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known,” Haley said in a statement from the US Mission. “We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked.”
Haley added that the “historic reduction” in spending is a step in the right direction and that the US would make many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable UN.
“In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key US priorities throughout the world and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system,” the statement said.
The new deal for the 2018-2019 fiscal year is $285 million less than the world body’s staggering $5.4 billion budget for fiscal year 2016-2017.
It’s a good first step, but let’s face it, $285 million is only 5% of the $5.4 billion budget. Losing one or two UN hookers would cover that. I’ll bet the UN members fail to pay that much alone in parking tickets in New York.
I’m waiting for that loss of foreign aid to the countries who voted for the resolution and then, 100 percent reduction in our portion of the UN budget. That would be a sweet Christmas present for the US taxpayer.
Haley is one of the few bright spots in this administration, but I have to say leaving the U.N. and kicking them out of the U.S. while cutting ALL funding to this international body that subverts our Constitution with every move they make is the real “Boom” we need. The UN supports terrorists and enemies to our allies.
If that does not work, cut them off 100 percent. Get out off the UN, give to building to veterans or make it a learning center for urban minorities. They can move the U.N. to North Korea, Syria, Yemen or Afghanistan for all I care.
Women of all political persuasions should acknowledge the strong team of women in the Trump administration! Nikki Haley, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kellyanne Conway are three stellar examples of exceptional women! These women will make their mark in spite of the lack of acknowledgment from the mainstream press! It’s just a matter of time.
